Christ Evangelical Congregational Church

Our service is casual and very informal, so you may come as you are and may even bring your morning coffee with you.

This will be a church experience unlike anything you’ve ever had, or if you have never attended church, you may be surprised as to how relevant and practical it is!

The Bible applies to your life! God knows, cares for, and loves you. He has a plan for you! This is what our service is about, helping you discover this for yourself!!

Reading about the pastor’s own spiritual journey in the following pages will help you understand why this church experience is different!

Come join us at 9:30 AM Sunday Mornings

Our Basic Beliefs

At Christ E. C. Church, our foundation is built upon the timeless truths of Scripture and the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. These core values define our mission and spiritual journey together.

Divine Word

We believe the Bible is the only inspired word of God, serving as authority for our life!

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit, to convict sinners, and regenerate and empower believers to faithful service.

The Trinity

We worship one God, eternally existent in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Human Beings

Humanity was created in the image of God, but sin has corrupted and perverted this condition and relationship.

Jesus Christ

We believe in the full humanity and deity of Jesus Christ, the only Son of God.

Saving Grace

Salvation is a gift of God's grace, received through personal faith in Jesus Christ!

Hands in Prayer

A Century and Counting...

Christ E. C. Church, has a rich heritage dating back more than a century; with our denominationally-affiliated roots being in the Wesleyan-Methodist tradition.

The Evangelical Congregational denomination began in this part of Montgomery County in the mid-to-late 1800's, with three church buildings. They were located in Trappe, Limerick Square, and Schwenksville; and often shared a pastor.

This building was dedicated on January 15, 1895; built on land donated by Mr. O.W. Schwenk, with most of the money being contributed by Mr. Jacob Klein.

Pastor Marlin Miller Jr.

Meet Our Pastor

Raised in Schuylkill County, on a farm, he intended to continue a life in farming, even quitting high school to pursue that work.

However, through the culmination of a lot of soul-searching, especially in his teenage years, he finally had a radical and dramatic life-changing religious experience- even though he grew up attending church!

This experience got him started on a whole new, and totally unexpected path in life, leading to a calling in pastoral ministry!

Having earned his GED, Marlin eventually attended and graduated from the former United Wesleyan College, in Allentown, PA with a B.A., and holds his Masters of Divinity from the Evangelical Seminary in Myerstown, PA.

He began his ministry in 1982 in Pennsylvania, and later pastored a couple churches in New York state, eventually coming back to PA in 1990. Pastor Miller has served the congregation of Christ E.C. Church in Zieglerville since 1992.

He has been married for 46 years to his college sweetheart, Terry. Together they have three children and five grandchildren.

Steps for a Life-Changing Experience

reflecting Pastor Miller's own spiritual journey!

Step One
I  AM  LOST

I sense that my life is meaningless and empty; there is a sense of something missing.

Deep inside, I lack direction and purpose- having no

idea how to, or what, might ever change this.

Step Two
THERE  IS  HOPE!!

God can change everything for you! Look to Him!

He has a custom-made plan just for you-

leading to a life of hope, peace, joy and purpose,

far greater than you could ever imagine!!

Pastor Miller knows this from personal experience.

Congregational Involvement

Unlike most churches,

we don’t have programs and activities for you to be involved with at this time.

In fact, other than Sunday morning,

you won’t find our congregation here at church, most of the time.

We believe as Christians we need to be out in the world,

rubbing shoulders with those who are still hopeless, to show them the way to Christ!

This is our God-given mission and purpose!

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations,

baptizing them in the name of

the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,

teaching them to observe all that I commanded you;

and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Matthew 28:19-20 NASB
